The Monday Brief

Ten minutes of setup. One reusable prompt. Every Monday, your AI reads your corner of the industry and reports back with dates, sources, and a confidence rating on every claim.

Step 1

Who is this brief for?

The brief filters everything through your role. A funding round means one thing to a founder and another to a hiring manager. Tell it which one you are.

Step 2

Your three beats

A beat is a topic you track every week, the way a reporter covers a desk. Pick three. Narrow beats produce sharp briefs. "AI" is not a beat. "Enterprise AI agent deployments and their failure rates" is.

Step 3

Your three decision questions

Research without a decision attached is entertainment. Each week the brief must answer three questions you actually act on. Write them as questions you would ask a smart analyst.

Step 4

The guardrails, built in

Two rules are already written into your prompt. First, every item carries the date it happened, and anything older than seven days gets dropped or justified. Second, every claim carries one of three confidence ratings:

SOLIDTwo or more named outlets report it. Act on it.
CHECK ITOne credible source only. Verify before you repeat it.
THINSocial posts, rumor, or no named source. Treat as a lead, not a fact.
